About

Why hold a national conference for health navigation?

Navigation services have emerged in almost every province and territory across Canada to support individuals and families by helping them find their way through health, education, and social systems.

In April 2021, we hosted the inaugural Canadian Healthcare Navigation Conference (CHNC).

CHNC provides a forum to share and discuss how navigation can support the integration of care through the lens of research, practice, education, and administration.

We recognize the timeliness and importance of navigation services and want to create an opportunity to connect stakeholders in an interdisciplinary setting for information-sharing and networking, with the aim to advance the field of patient navigation across Canada. Want to make new connections within the healthcare navigation field? Check out our News & Updates page!

This conference is hosted in partnership between the Centre for Research in Integrated Care at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John and the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. To learn more about these centres, click below to visit their web pages.
